This policy explains what information Photo and Video Pros collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to vendor accounts.

Information we collect

  • When you contact a vendor: the details you enter in a Request info form (such as your name, email, phone, wedding date, guest count, locations and message). We send them to that vendor so they can reply to you.
  • When you suggest a location: the location details you enter and, if you choose to give it, your email address.
  • When a vendor creates an account: name, business name, contact details, business address, login details, listing content (descriptions, photos, videos, prices, styles) and the cities and locations they choose.
  • Payments: vendor subscriptions are paid through our payment processor, Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited card details (such as the last four digits); we do not store full card numbers.
  • Automatically: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, through our hosting and server logs.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to make the site work: a session cookie that keeps the order of photographers fair while you browse (it is deleted when you close your browser), and cookies for logging in, the shopping cart and checkout. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service: with the vendor you choose to contact, with our payment processor (Stripe), with our hosting and email providers, and when the law requires it. Vendor listing details (business name, contact details they choose to show, photos, prices and the cities and locations they serve) are public on the site.

Photos and location data

Photos vendors upload are resized and saved in a web format, and the camera details and GPS location data stored inside photo files are removed.

How long we keep information

We keep vendor account information while the account exists, including after a city subscription ends, so the vendor can renew. Request info messages are kept [time period]. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Your choices).

Your choices

  • Vendors can update their listing and photos at any time in My Account.
  • Anyone can ask us to access, correct or delete their personal information by emailing [contact email].

Children

This site is meant for adults planning weddings and for wedding businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

Text messages (SMS)

If you sign up for text alerts, we collect your mobile number and a record of your agreement (the date, time and where you agreed). We use your number only to send the alerts you chose, as described in our Text Message Terms. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or turn alerts off on the website.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except our text message provider (Twilio), which delivers the messages for us.
